Heads up! to executive members of the APDA for web site.
Pleasure to inform all the MS degree holders of the APDA that RIMS is going to start the DM Course uroloogy and plastic surgery from this year.Entrance test will be held on june 2010 at RIMS in all India basis.Interested candidates may kindly contact RIMS academic section.Candidates are reportedly less due to lack of wide circulation.
For our govt sponsored rule it is said that no candidates will be sponsored for two times unlees 5 years gap.In that case our member will all be disqualified in age in DM EXAM as they asked very low age limit for the entrance.or they have to resign from job if selected.
Therefore, is it necessary to modify our rule?plse comemnt….
Congrats to the office bearers of APDA. May like to see more options, informations etc on the web. A discussion link will be nice, to share ideas on different issues relating to health and its determinants.
Thanks all.
IS THERE ANY REMEDY?
It is always seen that our department did not follow the cretrion laid down by the Govt regarding the selection of sponsored candidates in RIMS PG.Every year the problem arises and matter come up for discusion for time being to end up in dust bin.
Is there any role of our APDA here to bring any remedy?
If our senior members who are in the responsible post are not able to follow the gaidelines laid down by the govt and instead, keep on encouraging the unqualified candidates every year to curtails the rights of elligible candidate then there is no points of having any rules.Better make it open for all.Or is there any other remedy for this??
Right from the 1st year of RIMS offering PG seats, this menace of in-eligible candidates intruding into someone’s courtyard is haunting the AP doctors Year after year. So many have come and gone which history will testify. And of course, through some people in the helm of this affair. Its time to look at Mizoram, how they manage and strictly adhere to their state norms. May be someday, a new cohort of docs will do the job but it will be too late.
The Eligibility Criteria framed by the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, already exist in our esteedmed Health and Family Welfare Department for the last so many years. The copy of these official dossier are aviallable in APDA website. But the incumbent occuoying responsible post in Director of Health Services delibrately ignore the standing criteria for their vested interest.
We have come to know that in Sikkim, any candidate falling short by even fraction of day to fulfill the minimum required length of service is not allowed to sit for PG Entrance Exam by the State Government.
Taking cue from the practice of Sikkim, the concern authority of our State should also stick to the rules. Lest in the long run, this would have de-moralizing effect on the doctors sincerily working in the outpost.
I wish if APDA could do something concrtete to resolve this menace at the earlist for the greater interest of Doctors in general.
WHAT WE CAN DO ??Some guys in our doctors community are also shameless,we cant blame whole things to the authority although they are equally responsible.our own members are shamlessly trying their best to grab the seat of others by any means. For them the PG seats seems to be matter of life and death. These guys should be terminated from the primary membership of APDA.
If every one of us respect the laid rules and wait for our own turn than there is no question of any misundrstanding, the same is applicable in promotion to DMO and others.
THE APDA SHOULD DO SOME HARSE STEPS.
ALL OF BUSY US IN THE PERSONAL WORK BUSY IN TREATING PATIENT , NO SENIORS OR JUNIORS
HAS SAID ANYTHING ABOUT PPP-500 BEDED CUM MEDICAL COLLEGE. I PERSONALLY FEEL APDA
SHOULD TAKE IT AS AS A SERIOUS MATTER AND SHOULD CALL EMERGENCY MEETING AND DISCUSS WITH OUR HONOURABLE . WHAT ARE ITS ADV. AND DIADV. WHY STATE CANNOT RUN MEDICAL COLLEGE LIKE TRIPURA….. ,MANIPUR POROMPAT STATE MEDICAL COLLEGE…..
I find the topics very interesting but this website is not APDA website. The APDA website should be improved providing more information and link for discussion. Does somebody moderate and update the APDA website?
I cant undrstand why our Government cannot run the medical college?
The medical college if at all to be run by private or semi government then for me it is only going to benits some sections of the people wheather it is patient, doctors, students or job oppurtunity etc.
The lone medical college to be eastablised with proper planning in terms of policy, locations, structures etc with wide consultaions to doctors community and others required professionals. It should not be decided by handful of persons.
The APDA ,AMSA,and our experience senior members has to play an important role.
I personally feel the private sectors should be discourage at the moment,How ever if the senior members and majority feel that the private has better prospect than,Majority is always respected.
pvt sector has 100times better chance of opening in 5-10 yers than govt college which will take 25years by present rate.
its better to have somethinhg than nothing..so my full support for pvt college.atleast ap will have some good facilities, even now our ppl going to guwahati an vellore 4 small diseaseeas
Nice to hear dats APDA has lunched their own website. By the way m not a doctor but dear doctors friend i want 2 say somting dats all the north eastern state has implemented Rural Health Mission and thier ambulance vehicles are running and ferrying patient from every corner to hospital. But i have seen dats in our state their is no sign of Ambulance vehicles like as Assam,Meghalaya and other state of india. Our state used Chevrolet Tavera Vehicles as ambulance.its a common sense dats if any accident like bus accident, fire accident, landslide, earthquake then how could they accomodate large no. of casulities on dats tavera vehicles? Kisne karidi hai yeh gadiya ?
Anyway, arunachal will remain as a arunachal,it wll never change .we are 100 Yrs. back to mainstream.
so dear friends here i am writing dis peice cz u all are associated with ambulance, patient in ur daily life.I hope APDA will do excellent job specialy in health sector in near future and bring arunachal in national health map.
Even Chevrolet Tavera Vehicles should be fine if used as ambulance. But alas! these are used as any thing except as an ambulanca.
The scenerio of ambulence is too bad in our department and no body seems bother,At AALO we tried to buy one from public contubutions, many public has contributed cash and we the doctors at AALO also donated cash for this but some how it could not be materalised i dont know why??
Thank god KIRAN Purshased one for us .
For this TAVERA vehicle there are many public complaints ,Most of the public and even DOCTORS colleaque are seems to be not satisfied the way it is being used.
The DRCHO often says that it is only for lifting sick mother and baby during or after delivery. The guidelines does not permits for lifting general public as ambulence.
However we dont know whether guideline permits lifting of healthy persons or not?It is also not clear whether it can be use in picnic, hunting or any other domestic work or not??
The another mobile big vehicle which contain X-RAY machine etc also seems unutilized and not feassible in many places as it could not reached in most of the villages due to its size and other technical problems.
WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO?? OR WHO PRUCURE THESE VEHICLE?
And Guidelines of these vechicle cannot be modified or not that also we dont know Whereas many of the guidelines in NRHM can be modified as per state feasibility.
Establishing of medical college on ppp basis in our state is a serious thing to ponder over. There should be debates and discussion especially involving those from medical fraternity and of course politicians and beaurocrates before jumping into such conclusion.I don really feel that running a medical college on ppp basis is a good idea, after all private firm is a pure business instittution who actually works for their own profit. Why cant our state run her own medical college?
Recent news in which one of our doctor was manhandled mercilessly by a police officer has really moved me very much.A police officer should first know the fact and then proceed as per the law.Its not that he come to spot and start beating any one black and blue. His unresponsible, unethical and irrrational act states that he did under some kind of influences.Having done that he did not leave any stone unturned to tarnish the image of the doctor by blaming him of molesting the domestic helper. We dont want such shameless police officers who dances according to the tune played by someone who have money or power. The act of that shameless cop is very much condemnable and every one should condemn him.God bless arunachal and Itangar in particular and keep her under safe hands of good police officers.Just because of one erring cop, the whole police department is being condemned. The department should initiate enquiry instead of eulogising him.The doctor community should also take up this matter at the highest possible level to give that erring cop a good lesson. May God bless that cop with good heart and soul so that he can exercise good judgement while dealing with cases.
In this case I believe in Police officer’s statement…
I doubt Dr ………
OC L .R RANA Must be terminated from the service,Wt ever the reason may be , He has no rights to inflict any grevieous injury causing rapture of ear drum to any person.Medical officer on duty should not be treated like hard core criminals.Even in the worse situation like war medical personnels, are exampted,APDA is doing right thing so far in this case.
This PANDE,SANDE should be dealt in differant way,Not by democratic ways.
