Timely supply of text books demanded

ITANAGAR, Apr 28: DDSEs, Principals, Head Masters and teachers in-charge of various higher secondary, secondary, middle and primary schools of Papum Pare District, Arunachal Teacher’s’ Association (CEC) ATA, officials from education department and teachers from various districts of the state conducted a joint meeting at Naharlagun on April 28.

In the meeting the house has unanimously resolve to pressurize the state government and the concerned department for timely supply of NCERT text books every year with free supply of text book to girl student from class I-XII standard, work out a plan to bring permanent solution to school boundary problem in Papum Pare District,

It further resolve to protest transfer and posting of teachers in middle of academic session and opposed involvement of politician and organization and also discouraged much interference of VEC/SMC and student union over the school administration, transfer and posting of teachers. Adding that transfer and posting of teachers be done before reopening of schools in every academic year in rotation basis and with fixation of minimum tenure in hard and easy belt between 2-3 and 4-5 years respectively.

It further said that the movement of transferred teachers to their posting place must be compulsory but subject to availability of proper accommodation in school.

Transfer and posting of lady teachers working in Capital Complex must also be done within the schools of capital complex on the basis of station seniority, it added.

The house also urged the concerned authority to issue of written guidelines for role of Headmaster, teacher in-charge and VEC/SMC for better administration. And demanded conversion cost meant for Mid-Day Meal be release quarterly and food item be supplied in time to ensure cent percent implementation of Mid-Day Meal, uniformity of pupils fund and school development fees in Papum pare District and introduction of complex examination amongst the students of Class III-VII in PapumPare District.
