Virtual Classes for Arunachal Students

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched a dedicated satellite on education called EDUSAT, which would create statewide virtual classrooms where university and college students can be taught by select teachers from a teaching center with link-up facility for live interaction through video conferencing.
In Arunachal, EDUSAT was launched from the session 2008-09 with the main Hub at Rajiv Gandhi University under the aegis of Directorate of Higher & Technical Education. At present there are 50 SITs functioning in various institutions across the state.
Though EDUSAT network is functional in the state, its formal launching would be held on September 5 at RGU by Governor Gen J J Singh in presence of scientists and engineers from ISRO including Vikram Desai and B M Darjee.

Sounds good. But I doubt if most students would be awaken enough to take advantage of it. They are busy in petty politics and small time business. Well, it’s not their fault either. They need to be shown the outside world. The government should organize a Reality Awareness programme which would send students outside the state for six months to let them observe and learn how things work outside the well. When I become the CM of the state, I will introduce the programme. Vote for me?
